During the 3rd Reich the EDELWEISSPIRATEN gathered thousands of young people living in the ruins of Cologne and other cities which later transformed into a resistance movement.

Many of them had to go underground, hiding jews, people forced into manual labor who were on the run and deserters. The Gestapo and SS pursues and finds the youths, tortures them, and executes some in public. Six of them between the ages of 16 and 20 and seven adults were hanged without a guilty verdict ever being reached, on the 10 of november 1944.

This film depicts the story of one survivor – Jean Juelich – who fights for justice and compensation for his dead friends.
